“Raise the Woof” is a touring stand-up comedy act, for those 16 years and older, that works with animal shelters and rescue groups for fundraising. Tickets are $25 and are available through Mainstage’s website at RamonaMainstage.com. The theater is at 626 Main St.

Hearts and Hands will have some animals from the rescue at the comedy event, including a zebra. The rescue has approximately 100 horses and many smaller animals and is looking for people to adopt or sponsor animals, or become recurring donors through its website, HHAR.org.

In addition to supporting the animals, the rescue  is raising money for its education and therapy center that will work with charities supporting people with different medical issues.
