Wrestling team beats RBV 52-15

The Ramona High School Bulldog wrestling team has started the season by beating Rancho Buena Vista High School 52-15 in a match featuring two of the San Diego section’s top 10 teams in the Dawg House.
Noah Lagoe gave the Dawgs a lead that they would not relinquish in the first bout. The 106-pound freshman pinned Anthony Gibson in 2:29 to give Ramona a 6-0 lead.

Logan White lost a 6-3 decision to Issac Washington in the 115 bout. Vince Adair then beat Brad Ammerman by fall in 4:53 in the 120 bout. Martin Dowers (126) followed Adair with the Dawg’s third pin in four bouts over Sean McDonald in 3:37.
Kevin Conroy battled Nolan Brown in the 132 weight class and won by decision and the match was all but over at 21-3. Antonio Osorio recorded a fall in 2:30 over Marco Barboza.
Isaiah Ilich won by default in the 138 bout and the Dawgs led 33-3. Alex Gomez won a 9-6 decision over Alejandro Talenco and Troy Jordan followed with a major decision win over Jordan Fisher in the 160 bout.
Jacob Grybow entered the third period tied with Angel Reyes in the 170 bout but rallied for a 5-3 decision.
Noe Hernandez (182) lost by fall to Anthony Ball and Austin Koch lost by fall to Jeff Crooks in the 195 bout. Zach Berg (220) beat Shane McNary 18-8.
Trae Rodriguez finished the match by recording the fastest pin of the night as he beat Corey Cossy in 1:57.
