Grinch dampens Christmas spirit in Estates neighborhood
Crime Prevention Officer Barbara Wallace with the sheriff’s Ramona station advises residents to secure their decorative inflatable balloon ornaments after deputies received three reports of thefts of holiday decorations from front yards over the weekend.
One theft occurred in the 24000 block of Del Amo Road where Christmas decorations valued at $200 were taken some time between 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, and 9 a.m. Sunday.
Two other reports came from the 16200 block of Arena Drive, where the thefts occurred Sunday between midnight and 5 a.m. One theft resulted in a loss of $350 worth of Christmas decorations and one had $300 worth of holiday yard decorations stolen.

•Male 32, arrested, suspected of obstructing/resisting officer with minor injury, 1400 block of Main Street.
•Female, 35, arrested, suspected of petty theft from building, Stater Bros., 1674 Main St. Food valued at $103 stolen and recovered.
Friday, Nov. 30
•Two juveniles arrested in Montecito Road riverbed, suspected of shoplifting at Fashionably Late, 1443 Main St. Clothing valued at $49.50 stolen and recovered.
•Male, 22, arrested, suspected of possessing controlled substance, 500 block of 16th Street.
Wednesday, Nov. 28
•Petty theft from vehicle, 900 block of E Street. Miscellaneous items valued at $176 stolen.
