Proposition R failing in tight vote

Unofficial election results early Wednesday morning show Ramona school district’s $66 million bond bid failing in a tight vote, Dawn Perfect and John Rajcic winning the school board election, Rex Shildhouse beating Bryan Wadlington for the Division 3 water board seat, and George Foote winning the Division 5 seat.

On the planning group, unofficial results show the five incumbents winning re-election, with Jim Cooper, Donna Myers, and Barbara Jensen winning their first four-year term on the group.

According to the San Diego County Registrar of Voters, the tally as of 5:30 a.m. Wednesday was:
