Early election results for Ramona candidates, school bond
Early election results in Ramona show Dawn Perfect and John Rajcic leading Dan Lopez in the three-person race for two seats on the Ramona school board, Rex Schildhouse ahead of incumbent Bryan Wadlington for Division 3 water district director, George Foote ahead of Brandon DiPietro for the Division 5 water board seat, and Jim Piva, Jim Cooper, Eb Hogervorst, Donna Myers, Barbara Jensen, Torry Brean, Robin Joy Maxson, and Paul Stykel, in that order, beating Richard Tomlinson and Kathy DaSilva for four-year terms on the Ramona Community Planning Group.
Proposition R, the school district’s bid for a $66 million bond, is behind just 4 percentage points—52% against and 48% for—with 34% of the votes tallied. To pass, Prop. R needs 55% of the votes.
The percentage of votes tallied by the county Registrar of Voters office as of about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday ranged from 16.7% in the water district’s Division 5 to 40% for Ramona Community Planning Group.
