Senior Activity Center: Menu and activities

Ramona Senior Activity Center in Ramona Community Center at 434 Aqua Lane is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. except for legal holidays.

Dinner-style meals are served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meals also are delivered to the homebound.

Suggested lunch donation for seniors age 60 and older and for homebound is $4. Transportation is $1. Lunch for a non-senior guest of a senior is $6. For reservations and more information, call 760-789-0440.

Menu for the Week

Thursday, Nov. 1: Spaghetti and meat sauce, Tuscany vegetables, garlic bread, apricots.

Friday, Nov. 2: Lemon chicken, au gratin potatoes, winter mix, Mandarin oranges.

Monday, Nov. 5: Parmesan chicken, noodles, California vegetables, fruited Jello.

Tuesday, Nov. 6: Crab cakes, rice pilaf, peas and carrots, fresh orange.

Wednesday, Nov. 7: Meatloaf and gravy, baked potato, spinach, peaches.

Thursday, Nov. 8: Chili with meat, cheese and onions, corbread and honey, tropical fruit.

Friday, Nov. 9: Broccoli chicken casserole, carrots, bread pudding.

Activities

Thursday, Nov. 1: Bingo at 1 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 2: Exercise at 9 a.m., Pinochle at 9 a.m., Pokeno at 1 p.m.

Monday, Nov. 5: Exercise at 9 a.m., Lace at 9 a.m., Ramblers Travel Club at 1 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 6: Walking group at 8 a.m., Quilting at 9 a.m., Computers at 10:30 a.m., Writers Group at 1 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 7: Exercise at 9 a.m., Pinochle at 9 a.m., Bridge at 12:30 p.m., Santa Ysabel Casino Trip.

Thursday, Nov. 8: Bargain Corner from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Bingo at 1 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 9: Bargain Corner from 8 a.m. to noon, Exercise at 9 a.m., Pinochle at 9 a.m., Pokeno at 1 p.m., Movie Night at 6 p.m.

The pool table may be used any time except during Bargain Corner, and a Wii game is available.
