REIN schedules Candidates’ Forum for planning group hopefuls
REIN — Ramona Equine Industry Network — is inviting all of the candidates for the Ramona Community Planning Group to participate in a Candidates’ Forum on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. in the MultiPurpose Room of the Ramona Community Center, 434 Aqua Lane.
This will be an opportunity for the public to ask questions pertinent to the Ramona Community Plan and to hear for themselves the platforms of each of the candidates.
The 10 candidates vying for the eight open seats on the planning group are: incumbents Torry Brean, Eb Hogervorst, Jim Piva, Paul Stykel, and Richard Tomlinson, and Jim Cooper, Kathy DaSilva, Barbara Jensen, Robin Joy Maxson, and Donna Myers.
REIN was formed several years ago by some members of the Economic Development Committee of the Ramona Chamber of Commerce.
REIN completed and published a comprehensive survey of the economic impact of the equine industry to the community of Ramona.
“The survey provided decision makers with valid information direct, if you will, from ‘the horse’s mouth,’” said Arvie Degenfelder, REIN secretary.
