Ramona Chargers American Youth Football Results

The Ramona Chargers Flag team lost to Clairemont in a high scoring battle on Saturday morning by a score of 45-27. The team was led in scoring by Mentaay Dominguez, who had two rushing touchdowns and a third touchdown on a kickoff return. Also adding to the scoreboard was Denver Anderson with one touchdown.
Pee Wee Division
The Charger’s Pee Wee team played a tough Coastal Triton team and lost by a score of 36-0. On offense, the Chargers were led in rushing by Joey Castillo with 21 yards, Raul Lopez with 14 yards and Jayden Fleet with 13 yards. Carries were also made by Nathan Eunice, Rafael Cortez, Jeffrey Ramsthaler and quarterback Thomas Cassidy. On defense tackles were made by Castillo (4), Eunice (3 ½), Lopez (3), Cameron Magnino (2), Lance Bradley, Donovan Edwards and Ricardo Ludwick. Zachary Balcome helped with 2 tackles and a fumble recovery.
The Charger Midgets played a tough game against the Murrieta Rams, losing by a score of 17-7. Ramona’s touchdown came on a pass from Cam Rowles to Brennan Murphy behind the blocking of Marcus Bradley, Tanner Zanie, Tanner Michaelis, Wyatt Stevens and Payton Stoner. On defense, the Chargers were led by nose tackle Zion Barnum, middle linebacker Brandon Setterberg, strong safety Shawn Coane and cornerback Chris Steingraber.
This week, all four teams will be at home against the Temecula Titans at Bulldog Stadium. The Flag team will play at 8:30 a.m., Pee Wee at 11:30 a.m., Junior Midget at 5 p.m. and Midget at 7 p.m.
