Chamber holds ribbon cutting for The Dusty Oak

Dave and Lisa Brown, second and fourth from left, and their daughter Aubry, third from left,  owners of The Dusty Oak, mark their membership in the Ramona Chamber of Commerce on Friday, Aug. 17. The Dusty Oak, a new business, “re-purposes” wine barrels by creating furniture, light fixtures, wine racks, and other items from the oak wood of the barrels.  The family-owned business includes the Browns’ son Sean, who has made surfboards and skateboards from the barrel wood. Michael Harrison, second from right, from Congressman Duncan Hunter’s office presented them with a certificate of recognition.
