Caller claimed to be my son - in an accident in another state. Needed money wired to pay off lady in wreck. Told my mother-in-law (the supposed grandmother), NOT to tell anybody about this. She may be nearly 90, but she is no dumb chick! She called us, and lo, and behold, my son was right here in Ramona with us. She called the SDPD, as she lives in San Diego. They wouldn't take a report. The only help the SDPD offered was to not speak to the caller again. Sad world we live in... This happened to my in-laws earlier this summer.
