Ramona 12U Red wins Southwest championship

SOUTHWEST REGION CHAMPS—As Southern California Southwest Region champions, Ramona Pony Baseball’s 12U Red Team advances to the Super Regionals in Whittier on Friday. Ramona 12U Red Team battled it out over the weekend to win the Pony 2012 Southern California Southwest Region championship.

On Saturday they beat Emerald 8-6. On Sunday they lost to Tecolote 9-8 but came back to beat them 11-9 and win the championship.

The team advances to the Super Regionals in Whittier as the No. 1 seed of the Southwest region. The first game is Friday agains the North seed No. 2.
