Boys U-10 soccer reaches finals in invitational

The Ramona FC Intra Boys Under 10 soccer team competed in the FC Sol Invitational soccer tournament in San Marcos on June 2 and 3, and went undefeated until the final game.

In pool play Ramona FC beat San Marcos Matrix 5-1, San Elijo Matrix 4-1, and Kodiak of Spring Valley 5-3. Kodiak is a registered AAA Division team, which is the highest level in San Diego County at this age bracket.

Ramona FC met Kodiak again in the finals as the two best teams. The game ended in a 1-1 tie, forcing teams into a penalty kick shootout. Kodiak prevailed 3-2.

All of Ramona FC players live and practice locally, and Head Coach David Parsons and Assistant Coach Jose Bravo are Ramona residents.
