Art guild schedules demonstration meeting, one-day workshop

Elaine Harvey, Ramona Art Guild’s featured artist on Wednesday, April 18, will demonstrate her style of mixing abstraction and realism, enhanced and inspired by the natural flow of her watermedia materials.

The meeting, open to the public, will start at 7 p.m. in Ramona Library Community Room, 1275 Main St.

Also this month, the guild will host a figurative painting workshop titled Direct Painting with Richard Hawk. This one-day workshop will focus on bold, expressive brushwork, emphasizes painting from the core and a painterly, atmospheric surface.

The workshop will be from 9:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 21 at the Community Room at The Way Church, 838 Hanson Lane. For supply list and more information, visit
