Ramona Town Hall trustees invite the community to join them and Honorary Mayor Sharon Davis to the 118th anniversary celebration of the historic hall and the unveiling of portraits of Martha and Augustus Barnett, who donated the building at 729 Main St. to the townspeople on Feb. 22, 1894.

The celebration, from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, also will mark the re-opening of Town Hall’s West Wing, and there will be tours of the building. The East Wing, which may once again be home to the Ramona Chamber of Commerce, has been available for public use. Renovation of the main hall is not yet done, but it will be open for the tours.

“Please let us take you on a tour of Town Hall to see all the improvements,” said Davis, who earned her two two-year terms as honorary mayor by raising money for Town Hall renovation.

be served. Town Hall memorabilia will be sold to raise money for continued upkeep and renovation, and donation jars will be out to accept cash and checks for the project.

The trustees plan to honor those who have contributed to the hall’s renovation by having donors’ names on ‘Ramona Awards’ plaques.
