Police search for robbery suspect

Police are searching on the ground and from the air for a suspect in a strong-arm robbery that happened at 12:47 p.m. in the 1600 block of Main Street, said Lt. J.T. Faulkner with the sheriff’s department.

The suspect was last seen running east on E Street toward 12th Street and was wearing gray or black shorts and a black hoodie sweatshirt with white lettering, said Faulkner. The suspect has dark blond shoulder-length hair and was wearing sunglasses with a blue frame, he added.

No information was available on items stolen.Faulkner said strong-arm robbery means a struggle took place for the suspect to get what he wanted.  Anyone with information on the suspect should call the sheriff’s department at 858-565-5200. If it’s an emergency, call 911, Faulkner said.
