Ramona High’s girls played well in the their final two regular season basketball games but dropped Palomar League decisions to Mt. Carmel and Torrey Pines in the Dawg House. The Lady Bulldogs finished the regular season with a 13-13 record and were 2-8 in their final season in the Palomar League.

For their efforts the Lady Bulldog basketball team received a ninth seed in the Division II CIF playoffs and will travel to Bonita Vista High School for a Wednesday night game at 7.

Ramona gave the Palomar League champions Mt. Carmel Sundevils (23-5, 9-1) all they could handle in a 56-47 home court loss.

The Lady Dawgs led after one period and into the second quarter but the Sundevils had too many weapons. The Sundevils had three players score in double figures and played their trademark tough person-to-person defense.
