Three will represent Ramona in regional playoffs Feb. 18

Three young basketball players will represent Ramona in the San Diego Regional Free Throw Tournament at Saint Augustine High School on Saturday, Feb. 18.

These players won their district playoff in Poway and are now moving on to the regional playoffs, said Brian Douglass of the Ramona Knights of Columbus, the organization sponsoring the annual competition.

Representing Ramona will be Adam Doucette, Ben Stein and Sydney Kaminsky.

Saint Augustine High School is at 3266 Nutmeg St. in San Diego. Registration will be from 8 to 9 a.m. and the playoffs will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

The three Ramona basketball players will be competing against players countywide. Winners of each division will advance to the California state finals in Fresno on March 17.
