Yogurt Barn, ‘Cool Jazz…Hot Chili’ benefit high school band program
Proceeds from three upcoming events will raise money for the Ramona High School band program.
Band Day will be Monday, Jan. 30, in Yogurt Barn at 1334 Main St. Yogurt Barn will donate 25 percent of sales that day to the band, but participants must bring a flyer of the event. For a flyer, go to www.royalallianceband.org.
Members of the Royal Blues Jazz Band will entertain at “Cool Jazz…Hot Chili,” a benefit for the Ramona High School band program from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3.
The fundraiser will be in First Congregational Church, 404 Eighth St. at the corner of Eighth and D streets. Everyone is welcome.
Hot chili and cornbread will be served, and a cake walk also is planned.
Tickets are $6 per person.
Among other upcoming fundraisers for the music program is the 4th Annual Bulldog Country Cars & Crafts Show on Saturday, April 28. Details are being put together, and organizers encourage everyone to mark the date on their calendars.
