Multi-vehicle crash clogs SR78 Sunday morning

A multi-vehicle crash temporarily closed down a section of state Route 78 between Ramona and Julian today, but no one was reported to be badly hurt.

According to California Highway Patrol’s website, four or five vehicles were involved in the crash on Highway 78 near Rancho Teresa Drive about 9:50 a.m.

Three tow trucks were called to help clear the road.

Both lanes of SR78 were closed for about half-an-hour, but traffic was congested for several hours, a CHP dispatcher said.

None of the people involved in the crash suffered major or life-threatening injuries, he said.
