Adult swim program starts at RHS pool

A newly launched Adult Swim Program meets at the pool at Ramona High School. The Heartland Swimming Association program holds practices at the pool at 1401 Hanson Lane from 5:15 to 6:45 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

“This is a great opportunity here in Ramona for adult swimmers to have access to lap swimming and instruction,” reads a statement about the start of the program.

Interval work and endurance fitness development will be offered on Monday and Friday, with individualized stroke coaching on Tuesday and Thursday.

Cost is $150 for a three-month membership. Checks may be made payable to Heartland Swimming Association. In addition, there is a charge of $58 is for a USA swim card. Checks for the card should be payable to SDI (San Diego/Imperial Swimming).

USA swim cards will be valid through Dec. 31, 2012.

To register for the adult swim program, complete the Heartland registration application at www.heartlandswim.org. Registration and payment are due on the first day of attendance.
