Patriot Guard Riders

A member of the Patriot Guard Riders leads a group of approximately 25 riders escorting the family of Nelson Edward “Mac” MacWilliams from San Vicente Inn to Bonham Bros. & Stewart Mortuary for a celebration of MacWilliams’ life on Dec. 28. MacWilliams, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, was killed in a vehicle accident on Dec. 20. Patriot Guard Riders represent a nationwide group of motorcycle riders who attend funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family to show respect and shield mourners from interruptions created by any protestors.
