Youth Basketball League Standouts of the Week
Boys and Girls Club
Andre Jovien
Great season opener for Andre and Team 8. Andre started out strong in the first quarter with 8 points. He dominated the boards in the second quarter and finished the fourth quarter with 6 points. Andre is a member of the after-school program at the Ramona Boys and Girls Club and is a fourth-grader at Ramona Community School.
Gracie Knowd
Gracie played point guard for the first time and did a super job running the offense — both in scoring points and in passing the ball to her teammates, setting them up for great shots, reports her coach. Gracie led her team, “The Cherry Bombers,” to their first victory with 12 points. Grace is a fourth-grader at Ramona Community School.
