three games in a row due to rain-outs from the previous weekend.

Friday night’s 5-1 win Nov. 18 against the Del Mar Sharks gave Ramona a great start. Goals were made by Naomi Ramirez, Kacie Jordan, Karli Njaa, Daniela Charbonneau and Shaylee Lesler.

“The girls were on fire,” said Coach Justin “JJ” Jordan.

The Ramona girls faced the Temecula Hawks on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 19, on their home turf. It was the toughest game of the three, with the score 1-1 at halftime.

Temecula pulled ahead in the second half 2-1.

“The girls knew what they wanted and you could feel it and see it in the intensity and focus they maintained throughout the entire game,” said Assistant Coach Deena Vizcarra.

The game ended in a 2-2 tie. Goals were made by Kacie Jordan and Karli Njaa with an assist by Sasha Escamilla.

On Nov. 20, the girls left early for Murrieta with the determination to make it an undefeated season. Coach JJ said that the girls worked hard all season and deserved to not only be league champions but undefeated league champions — and that is exactly what they did.

Ramona beat the FC Murrieta 4-2. Goals were made by Daniela Charbonneau, Kacie Jordan and Karli Njaa (2). Defensive team Taylor Stacy (Goalie), Sasha Escamilla, Sydney Marin, and Shelby Sherman did an awesome job in the back, said their coach.

Center midfielders Danielle Vizcarra, Shaylee Lessler, Megan Vandervort along with wingers Courtney Dolan, Naomi Ramirez, Ceci Estrada and Katherine Lorentz connected passes and created scoring opportunities throughout the three game stretch.

The Ramona Girls finished the season with 48 goals for and 12 goals against. The girls plan to meet again after high school soccer to prepare for the State Cup Tournament in April.
