Being a former resident of Ramona for some 30+ years I know that there is a vernacular Architecture that speaks for itself when it comes to the quaint little bedroom community of Ramona. It is what it is and will always be an ever changing mishmash of ideas.
I really liked the article a few months back that singled out Elston's Hay & Grain on Main Street as an ideal Architectural style and thought that was where it was going to end, but hasn't. Ramona is and always should be a continuous conglomeration of styles that allow the town to grow, hopefully in the right direction without too much controversy. I have the utmost respect for new ideas, just don't lock it down to over glorified rules and zoning codes. Let the people express their freedoms!
I am also a former student and a 2004 graduate of the New School of Architecture.
