Kiwanis helping hands

Susana Abarca, Ramona Elementary School secretary, left, accepts more than 600 school and classroom supplies donated by the Kiwanis Club of Ramona for Ramona Elementary from Kiwanis member Mary Halliday on Sept. 27. The donation is part of Kiwanis Club of Ramona’s ongoing project to help fill the needs of Ramona students and teachers. Kiwanis is a volunteer organization dedicated to serving children, seniors and others in the community. The club holds breakfast meetings in Sizzler of Ramona, 344 Main St., at 7 a.m. on Saturdays.
