Second-grader donates books to Barnett

The Barnett Elementary School library grew by 300 books after a donation on Sept. 28 from Miss California Princess 2011 and Barnett Elementary second-grader Alexevia Zetterberg of Ramona.

kindergarten class taught by Karen Johnson also came for her book presentation.

Zetterberg explained to her classmates in Denise Truett’s second/third-grade class how the books were donated from participants in the Miss California pageant and why she chose Barnett Library.

The pageant book donations were dividedamong the four Miss California queens and princesses, and each girl chose the charity, school or library for their donation.

Zetterberg also donated 100 books to Ramona Library and 30 books to Busy Bee Preschool. She is planning a talent show fundraiser to for a Christmas toy drive.
