Learn about Girl Scouts, Aug. 13

LEARN ABOUT GIRL SCOUTS—Leaders and Scouts of Cadet Girl Scout Troop No. 8711 will present an evening of Girl Scout Camp Traditions, the second meeting in the Juliette & Me Seris Pathway” program planned by the Sunrise Valley Service Unit, from 6:30 to 8, Aug. 13,  in the Ramona Library Community Room, 1275 Main St. The meeting is open to registered Girl Scout Juliettes (girls not affiliated with a troop), girls on the service unit waiting list, and anyone interested in becoming a Girl Scout. The Girl Scout year begins on Oct. 1 and this program is a way to preview Girl Scouts to see if the program is right for parent and daughter. Parents are needed to assist with the crafts and games. Cost is $2 per Scout. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to Danielle Shaw, danigirl_72@sbcglobal.net or 760-535-8055.
