Ramona’s Got Talent, 9/11 tribute slated
Ramona Town Hall Honorary Mayor Sharon Davis, director and producer of the Second Annual Ramona Town Hall Ramona’s Got Talent fundraiser slated for Saturday, Sept. 10, encourages the community to save the date.
She anticipates the Ramona Town Hall benefit event will be a sellout as it was last year and recommends that tickets be purchased early. Advance tickets are $30. Admission at the door, if tickets still are available then, will be $35.
Advance tickets are available at the Original Old Town Ramona Antique Fair, Charlotte’s Antiques and the Ramona Chamber of Commerce office. Proceeds benefit Ramona Town Hall.
Since this is the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the United States, a Patriots Day 9/11 Tribute featuring the Ramona Town Hall Brass Band is planned.
“A powerful 9/11 Remembrance slide show will be shown,” said Davis.
Ramona’s Got Talent will include dinner, a talent show,a 1950s-60s’ car show, dance contests, the Ramona Rockettes, Nick Swifty’s ‘50s band, and 18 acts from Ramona entertainers. Audience participation will determine the talent show winners. For more information, see www.ramonatownhall.com or call 760-788-2509.
