San Diego Women’s Council of REALTORS wins National Chapter of the Year honors

Ramona resident and Realtor Chris Anderson, 2011 president-elect of the San Diego Chapter of Women’s Council of REALTORS® (WCR), was among chapter leaders in Washington, D.C., when the chapter was recognized at the National WCR Convention with the distinguished 2010 Mega Chapter of the Year.

Accepting the 2010 Mega Chapter of the Year award for the San Diego Chapter of Women’s Council of REALTORS® (WCR), are, from left, Tiffany Torgan, chapter recording secretary; Ramona resident and Realtor Chris Anderson, the chapter’s 2011 president-elect; Bob Kevane, 2011 president of the San Diego Association of Realtors; Deborah Tatum Gilmore, WCR national president; Kay Merg, chapter vice president of membership; Fiona Theseira, 2011 chapter president; and Linda Lee, the chapter’s immediate past president.

The San Diego chapter was selected out of 263 chapters nationwide.

In addition, the San Diego Chapter was awarded the 2010 “Inspire, Educate, Enable” award of $1,500 for Mega Chapter by Wells Fargo at the National WCR meeting.

This award went to four chapters nationally—Mega, Large, Small and New—for innovative and outstanding programs and education. Chapter members with Anderson to receive the award were Fiona Theseira, 2011 president; Kay Merg, vice president of membership; Tiffany Torgan, recording secretary; and Linda Lee, immediate past president.

“Through our influence as successful business professionals, we will effect positive change in the profession and in the broader community,” said Anderson.
