‘Ranger Doug’ stages 5th Annual National Day of the American Cowboy

Doug “Ranger Doug” Oliver, left, of Ramona presents Don Rowan of Ranchita with the EMF Dakota .45 single-action revolver Rowan won in the grand prize drawing at Oliver’s 5th Annual National Day of the American Cowboy at Mountain Valley Ranch in Ramona on Saturday. The six-hour event ended at 5 p.m. and featured cowboy music and poetry, cowboy re-enactments, cowboy gear, cowboy art, chuck wagon food from the Ramona Ag Boosters and vendors with western items such as custom cowboy hats, leatherwork, firearms and clothing.
