Senior Center

Ramona Senior Center is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., except for legal holidays, at 434 Aqua Lane. Dinner-style meals are served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meals also are delivered to the homebound in Ramona, Julian, Mesa Grande, Santa Ysabel and Warner Springs.

Suggested donation for lunch for seniors age 60 and older and for homebound is $4. Transportation is $1. Lunch for non-seniors is $6.

Lunch reservations are advised. For reservations and more information, call the senior center at 789-0440.

Menu for Week

Thursday, July 21: Pork chops, apple celery stuffing, California-style vegetables, applesauce.

Friday, July 22: Beef stroganoff, noodles, brussels sprouts, fresh plum.

Monday, July 25: Stuffed bell peppers, garlic mashed potatoes, four-way mixed vegetables, fresh oranges.

Tuesday, July 26: Sweet and sour meatballs, brown rice, Oriental vegetables, fresh kiwi.

Wednesday, July 27: Meat spaghetti, Italian vegetables, bread sticks, mandarin oranges.

Thursday, July 28: Ham and cherry sauce, sweet potatoes, Scandinavian vegetables, tropical fruit.

Friday, July 29: Chef salad of ham, chicken, tomatoes, cheese and boiled egg, cucumbers and tomatoes, fresh banana.

Friday, July 22: Exercise at 9 a.m., Pokeno at 1 p.m.

Monday, July 25: Exercise class at 9 a.m., Lace class at 9 a.m., Bible study at 10 a.m., PEF meeting at 1 p.m.

Tuesday, July 26: Quilting at 9 a.m., Computer class at 1 p.m.

Wednesday, July 27: Exercise at 9 a.m., Pinochle at 9 a.m., Bridge at 12:30 p.m.

Thursday, July 28: Bingo at 1 p.m.

Friday, July 29: Exercise at 9 a.m., Pokeno at 1 p.m.

  1. Good to see a local senior center with a great range of activities. Not all senior centers are so varied, I have found.
