Mayville State awards scholarship to Nate Lutu

Mayville State University has awarded recent Ramona High School graduate Nate Lutu a Non Resident Merit Scholarship.

Lutu is the son of Nathan Lutu and Noelle Lutu. He will enroll at Mayville State as a freshman in the fall of 2011 to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree and participate in the Comet’s football program.

The versatile running back, receiver, special teams player, and kickoff and punt returner was honored as Ramona High football team’s Most Valuable Player and Special Teams Player of the Year his last season as a Bulldog.

Mayville State scholarships are awarded based on previous academic performance and participation in extracurriculur activities and reflect the student’s past accomplishments and potential contributions to the Mayville State.

Mayville State University, the nation’s first Tablet PC campus, is a personable rural campus, according to Nicolette Ihry, coordinator of Enrollment Services Marketing at the university. Featuring technology-enriched education in which full-time, on-campus students are issued Gateway Tablet PC notebook computers, MSU is nationally identified for teacher education, the largest academic program on campus. Business administration and computer information systems are also popular majors on a campus known for the personal attention provided to its students.

The Princeton Review has named Mayville State University in North Dakota “A Best Midwestern College” for eight consecutive years.
