June 1 is ‘Physical Night’ at RHS

“Physical Night” at Ramona High School will be Wednesday, June 1.

Doctors and other medical professionals will donate their time to give sports physicals for all RHS students and incoming ninth-graders who need them. Cost is $25, with proceeds going to purchase equipment and supplies for the athletic training program at the school.

Physicals are required for all students participating in sports, cheer, song, NJROTC and band.

Male and female doctors will volunteer their time at the school from 6 to 8 p.m.

The school’s training room plays a vital role in the care and rehabilitation of students who participate in extracurricular activities, states a release about the physicals. The room will be open so parents and students can see the services offered there.

Packets with forms that must be signed are available at the RHS office. The forms must be signed before the doctors can proceed with the physicals. The $25 may be paid at the ASB window on June 1. Checks should be payable to RHS.

To participate in sports, cheer, song, NJROTC and band, students must get a physical, complete a Ticket to Play packet and obtain a Ticket to Play.
Football, cheer, song and band will start on Aug. 4. All other fall sports are scheduled to begin on Aug. 8.
