Open house at Nan’s Place in Ramona on Tuesday

Nan’s Place at 638 Main St. in Ramona will hold an open house on Tuesday, May 3, from 4 to 7 p.m.

The shop is home to 33 vendors selling a variety of unique items such as jewelry, scarves, purses, soaps, candles, children’s wear, Christmas pieces, crosses, mosaics, hats, greeting cards, western articles and antique furniture and much more. Most of the merchandise is handmade by local artisans.

One of the vendors, Darlene Rose of Fire & Thread, will be outside the shop presenting a glass lamp making demonstration during the open house.

The event is an opportunity for people to purchase Mother’s Day gifts. A table of $10 items is set up so children can browse for a gift for mom.

Nan’s Place offers free gift wrapping. Regular store hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
