Ramona Library Top Out

   San Diego County Library Director Jose Aponté signs the last piece of steel beam that will be part of Ramona’s new library at Main and 13th streets on Tuesday. Waiting their turn during the Top Out Ceremony are, from left, Ramona Branch Librarian Ellie Slade, Bernie Kuhn representing Friends of Ramona Library President M.Elyse Kuhn, Friends of Ramona Library Vice President and Library Friends of San Diego County President Dick Wayman, Ramona Branch Library Assistant Manager Manuela Castillo and Friends of Ramona Library Director Joan Gansert. The Top Out Ceremony marks the completion of the middle phase of the building’s construction. Scheduled completion of the new library is this winter.
