A Big Read Book Talk

   Eleanor “Ellie” Slade, branch manager of the Ramona Library, gets into the swing of San Diego County’s Big Read Migrant Education Fair held at the library recently. Big Read events are being held this month to celebrate the life of John Steinbeck, author of “Grapes of Wrath,” set in the Great Depression. A Big Read Book Talk and One-Pot Meal Cookout will be held at the library at 1406 Montecito Road at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18.
