RHS Song team wins regional championship

   The Ramona High School Song Team earned first place in the Varsity Pom Division at the Capo Valley Championship on Saturday, Jan. 9. 
   The event, hosted by Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo, was a regional championship of COA, a national cheer and dance organization.  RHS Song competed against four Orange County high school dance teams:  Aliso Niguel, Capo Valley, El Toro and Northwood High Schools. 
   The team’s next competition will be on Jan. 24 at the USA (United Spirit Association) Regional Championship in Orange, Calif. 
   The team is coached by RHS 2004 alum Sarah McAllister, with assistant coach Rachel McAllister, RHS Class of 2006.
