Baseball clinic, alumni game
The Ramona High School Baseball team has a holiday gift suggestion, the Bulldog Baseball clinic on Dec. 19, the first day of winter vacation.
The clinic will be held at Rocky Lawler Field. The Pinto age group, 8 and under, will go from 8:15 to 11:30 a.m. Mustang through PONY players will go from 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
RHS coaches and players and guest instructor Neil Jamison will teach infield play, outfield play, hitting and bunting, pitching, catching, proper running techniques and conditioning and stretching techniques. Inter-squad scrimmages will be held.
The cost is $30 for Pinto players if they register before Dec. 10. Pinto campers may register on the day of the clinic for $35. Mustang and up cost $45 for pre-registration and $50 on the day of the clinic.
Contact Pixie Sulser at firstname.lastname@example.org to pre-register or go to www.ramonahighschoolbaseball.com.
A Ramona High School Alumni game is scheduled immediately after the clinic.
“We are hoping to present the past, the present and the future of Ramona Baseball together,” said Sulser. “The alumni game will feature players from as many eras as we can get. If anyone graduated from RHS and played Bulldog Baseball and is willing to participate in the game in any way, contact Pixie at the e-mail listed above.”
The game likely will be interesting. As alums know, “the older you get, the better you were.”
