Workers help extinguish Black Canyon spot fire

Workers in the area were the first responders in a spot fire off Black Canyon Road just north of the Sutherland Dam Road intersection early Tuesday afternoon, A CalFire spokeman said.
U.S. Forest Service and CalFire crews responded to the fire, which was quickly extinguished, said Palomar District Ranger Joan Friedlander with the forest service.
