Intra soccer team clinches first
Ramona Intra Soccer Girls Under 12 clinched first place with a 4-0 win over Chula Vista Rebels.
The Ramona girls came out fast with Kaylene Stehlik and Amy Coffman scoring in the first half. Kathrin Hoertig and Alexis Dinero added 2 more goals in the second half.
The defense led by captains Amy Coffman and Zirze Cordova along with Shelby Sherman, Naomi Ramirez, Anais Scott and Mikela Garza once again recorded a shutout. This was the defense’s eighth shutout in 12 games.
Midfielders Sarah LaFuse, Ceci Estrada, Angelica Celaya & Morgan Wallace added good ball control and controlled the middle of the field the whole game, said Coach Robert Stehlik.
The girls are now 11-1 with one more game on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 1 p.m. in Ramona.
