Help make holidays special for troops

By Luauna Stines

Positive news of Iraq is rarely heard in our mainstream media, as many lean toward the left. I am honored to share this report straight from Iraq, “Great Progress in Iraq.”  This report is from boots on the ground, a retired Special Forces Green Beret, who has been stationed in Iraq four times. I want to share this report with you. Ramona has many people who love and respect our troops.
Report: Up to 45,000 volunteers called the Sons of Iraq who have been working with the Iraq Police and Iraqi Army to secure much of the areas in and around Baghdad are being transitioned over from U.S. Forces control to the GoI (Government of Iraq) control, which means the Iraqi government will be handling their pay and integrating them in to a “government” job. The Web address below has an article showing an example of this (not getting mainstream media press, but should be).

One other item to note is the IDP (Iraqi or Internally Displaced Persons) Program where the prime minister has sent out an initiative to begin bringing back Iraqis from surrounding countries and areas to be allowed back in their homes while the “squatters” that are currently occupying these homes are being helped to find a new place to live. Again not reported by the mainstream media
These are the type of programs that help stabilize Iraq and the Government of Iraq is in the middle of it all, and the U.S. has a smaller portion. For the Baghdad area, these 2 programs are taking place right here at the compound I live at that is shared with one of the Iraqi Army Divisions.   Thought you might like to hear some news about the progress here.  (End of Report)
My name is Dr. Luauna Stines, pastor of A Touch From Above, Christian Ministry. These reports must be shared. With the holidays just around the corner, I will be sending packages to our brave troops. If you would like to help make this holiday special for our brave men and women, please drop off your gifts at: Oasis Garden & Deli. NEEDS: Cashews (no peanuts), Protein Power, preferably Whew, Flax, and Organic Oatmeal.  These must be packaged to travel 8,000 miles. Holiday Cards would be nice as well.   (Please ONLY positive words, leave all cards open)
Let’s make the difference this holiday for our brave men and women serving. Thank you for your help. Their serving is our freedom.
